We currently have need for a Secretary to provide Admin support - please see the description below - and also new volunteer stewards to join our friendly team. If you are interested, please fill in your details below and you will be contacted by one of our team to arrange to meet with you, or pop in to the museum and speak to a steward on duty. ​Any information you provide will be treated confidentially and destroyed when any volunteering ends.
Volunteer Museum Steward

The museum is staffed by volunteer stewards whose role is to ensure that visitors have as enjoyable a time as possible while also caring for the collection. We are always looking for more stewards, no previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm for the history of the area. Each session is 2.5hrs long from 10:30am to 1:00pm, Tuesday to Saturday, from 1st April to 31st October. You can volunteer for just one session a month or more if you prefer, whatever suits you.

So, if you are local and wish to learn more about Tenbury's heritage or simply enjoy meeting people and can spare a couple of hours per month we would love to hear from you.

Volunteer Secretary opportunity at Tenbury Museum
​
We are looking for a new Secretary to join our friendly team of volunteers and be involved in the administration of the group. . The role should only take 2 hours of your time per month but at peak times it could be a little more. If you have administrative experience, an interest in history and can spare a little time, we would love to hear from you.
Skills/Requirements

You will need to be computer literate and at present have the ability to work from home using your own PC/laptop

Be willing to attend committee meetings that are usually held late afternoon/early evening

Live locally or within 10 miles of Tenbury
Main Responsibilities
You will work with our friendly board of Trustees to ensure the efficient management of the charity by:

arranging venues and agendas for committee meetings and the AGM, including the taking and circulating of all minutes (shorthand not necessary)

dealing with correspondence for the group, the majority via e-mail
